Hostel Rates
The Marin Headlands Hostel offers accommodations in two large historic homes, built in 1907 as officers’ quarters in what was then Fort Barry.
Guests may choose to stay in shared, gender-specific or co-ed dorms, or in one of the 7 rooms reserved for private accommodations (single, double, or family occupancy).
Shared dorm rooms
Most dorm rooms have 8 beds per room.
- Dorm bed rates: $25-26
Private rooms
Private rooms have a double bed with a single bunk bed above, and accommodate up to 3 people.

Private family rooms accommodating up to 5 people are also available.

Family dorm bed rate
While most families choose to stay in a private room (see above), for those who opt to stay in a shared dorm room, we offer half-off the dorm bed rate for children ages 12 and under who are traveling with their parent or legal guardian. To receive the family dorm bed rate, please book by phone at (415) 331-2777.
Please note that the family dorm bed rate does not apply to groups of 8 or more.
Groups of 8 or more
Group accommodations and meeting/event space (including full-house rental) are available. For group rates and reservations, please see Groups. We encourage groups to book several months in advance to ensure availability, especially for exclusive use.
