"Surfing 50 States" Documentary Premiere

Join us for the San Francisco premiere of Surfing 50 States, a new independent travel documentary chronicling two Australian surfers' adventures across the USA.

Watch as buddies Jonno (a former HI-USA Golden Gate Council intern) and Stefan travel across the country, and find a way to surf in each and every state.

From the cold waves of Alaska to a mountain of potatoes in Idaho, these two surfers travel 20,000 miles in a crazy ice cream truck on a quest to experience firsthand what life is like for the average "American Joe" -- if there is such a thing. Stick around after the film for a Q&A by the filmmakers, and hear the story behind the film straight from the surfers' mouths.

The event starts with a pre-screening party from 5 -7 p.m., with free beer and snacks. In addition, Sports Basement is offering 15% off all purchases made during the party, with 5% of the proceeds going to Reachout.com and Hostelling International USA. Also, guests who spend $25 or more get into the screening for free.

The Surfing 50 States screening tour is sponsored in part by Hostelling International USA.
