50th Anniversary Celebration: Thanksgiving Potluck at the Marin Headlands Hostel

Please note, due to the overwhelming response to this event, we are no longer accepting RSVPs.
If you’re thinking of doing things a little differently this Thanksgiving, the Marin Headlands Hostel may have what you’re looking for. Instead of spending the day slaving away in a kitchen, bring your friends and family down to the hostel for an international Thanksgiving potluck.
Held in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Golden Gate Council of Hostelling International USA, this meal brings together travelers, locals, and hostel staff for an afternoon of tasty food and good company in the rustic beauty of the Marin Headlands.
Everyone is welcome, and encouraged to bring an international dish to share (though no one is turned away). You can leave the traditional fare to the hostel staff however, as they whip up an old-fashioned Thanksgiving spread: turkey, cranberries, stuffing, potatoes, vegetables, bread, pies, and more. If you’ve never taken part in this North American tradition, you won’t want to miss this feast!
The evening is rounded out by live music and a few simple, thoughtful activities that encourage thankful reflection, led by hostel staff. Afterwards, take a stroll to burn off some of that pie, and give thanks in your own way among the panoramic tranquility of the Headlands.
Reservations are required; please call the Marin Headlands Hostel at (415) 331-2777.
