RESERVE NOW
Please click on the link above and use our reservation request form to reserve your program today!
It is advisable to submit an online request at least two months in advance of your desired program dates in order to ensure availability.
Reservation confirmations
If the dates that you have requested are available, you will receive an email with an invoice for your Hostel Adventure program. A deposit (25% of total program fees + $75) is required to complete your reservation. Please note that your reservation is not confirmed until we receive your deposit.
Grants for partial scholarships are available, based on need, for groups participating in Outdoor Hostel Adventures, Cultural Kitchen, or Community Walls. These grants support the commitment of Hostelling International to provide opportunities for youth in communities underserved by environmental education.
Funds for Hostel Adventure Scholarships are raised by the Golden Gate Council of Hostelling International USA. These scholarships enable groups to participate in Hostel Adventures who otherwise would not be able to afford to come. Funds are limited. The generosity of individual donors as well as foundation and government grants make these scholarships possible.
Scholarship Guidelines
Groups may apply for Hostel Adventure Scholarships based only on the need of their students.
Grant awards consider the demonstrated financial need of students, as well as evidence that teachers or group leaders are using Hostel Adventures to support student learning and performance, by linking pre- and post-trip classroom projects to the Hostel Adventure program.
Groups who have never received a Hostel Adventure Scholarship and are deemed eligible, and groups who have never participated in a Hostel Adventure before, may receive additional consideration.
The average scholarship award covers 15-30% of the group's program fees. Grants are not cash gifts; they will appear as a credit on the final invoice.
Changing your reservation
Because group trips and educational programs require careful planning and special arrangements, changing the number of people in your group on short notice significantly impacts our program.
For this reason, we must require groups to give an accurate estimate of the number of students and chaperones. Please determine your final group numbers before confirming your reservation.
If you need to add people to your group after your reservation has been confirmed, and space is available, the following fees will be applied in addition to regular program fees:
If you want to subtract people from your group, you must do so at least 14 days prior to your arrival date, and the following fees will be applied in addition to regular program fees:
Canceling your reservation
When we hold your reservation, we turn away other groups as well as individual travelers at our hostels. For this reason, the following cancellation policies apply to all Hostel Adventure reservations:
