Celebrate Earth Day at the Marin Headlands Hostel! "Create to Resonate: Pedaling Sounds Across the Bay" is an all-day festival of nature, music, and community for eco-friendly folks of all ages.

Hear artists such as Raum Bauer, Tyler Smith, Shake Your Peace, Fossil Fool, The Blank Tapes, and Stitchcraft as they rock the hostel from noon to 3:30 p.m. Check out the bicycle-powered generators that juice the musicians’ amplifiers and instruments, and try your legs at powering them yourself.

Kids of all ages can make their own kites at the craft table and launch them from the field in front of the hostel. Face painters will also be on hand to brighten your little one’s faces. A free barbeque will accompany the entertainment at the hostel, so there’s no need to pack a lunch!

Explore the serene beauty of the Marin Headlands either day or night, as guides show you the majesty of the coastal terrain on hikes happening at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.

Or, join the evening full-moon hike departing the hostel at 4 p.m., featuring live musical performances along a journey to nearby Headlands spots such as Battery Mendel and the Tunnel. At each location, musicians will serenade the hikers as they rest, culminating in a sunset performance by honey.moon.tree at a clearing above the hostel. Come hear local artists Sonja Cotton, Love Menu, Sleepy Todd, Indianna Hale, Kacey Johansing, Tommy McDonald, Nick Aives, Honeybody Moonbee, and more in nature’s own venue.

It’s a party you won’t want to miss, so bring your friends and family to the hostel to celebrate the splendors of the earth at this fun, festive event!
