The Point Montara Lighthouse Hostel welcomes walk-in guests whenever possible but advance reservations are highly recommended, especially March through October. Reservations are also recommended for families or other travelers who want private accommodations or who have special needs.

Hours

Reservation and reception hours are 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 p.m.

The hostel is open daily year-round.

We are located on California State Parks land. Day visitors are welcome to explore the site from 9:30 a.m. to sunset, but please stop by the hostel office before visiting the grounds.

Please note: Daytime access to the hostel and grounds may be restricted due to group rentals or special events.

Check-in/Check-out

Check-in hours are 3:30 - 10:30 p.m.
If you are delayed or cannot arrive during check-in hours, please call prior to 10 p.m.

Check-out hours are 7:30 - 11 a.m.
If you require early check-out (5:30 - 7:30 a.m.), please inform us upon check-in.

Adults must provide a valid government-issued picture identification card (passport, driver's license, or state or military ID card) to stay at the Point Montara Lighthouse Hostel.


Payment

We accept cash, travelers checks, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB.

A credit card is required to make a reservation, but during the check-in process you may choose to pay for your accommodations with cash or travelers checks instead.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or change your reservation, at least 48 hours advance notice is required. If a cancellation is made without 48 hours notice, or if you do not arrive on the reserved date, your credit card will be charged for one night’s accommodation per person, and any additional nights reserved will be cancelled. (For groups, a different cancellation policy applies.)
