August 30, 2007

Low-cost, long-distance bus service Megabus has launched on the West Coast, with daily express service between San Francisco and Los Angeles (with one stop in either Oakland or San Jose). Megabus has also launched daily service between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, San Diego, and Tempe, Arizona.
Originally started in the U.K., Megabus debuted in the U.S. last year with service to 14 Midwest cities. Megabus offers fares as low as $1 (plus 50-cent booking fee), but book as early as possible for the best rates.
