Southwest Airlines announces new service to San Francisco International Airport

Low-cost carrier Southwest Airlines will start service to San Francisco International Airport (SFO) on Aug. 26, 2007, with 18 daily nonstop departures.
Southwest will offer nonstop service to Chicago Midway (three flights daily), San Diego (eight daily), and Las Vegas (seven daily). The airline will also offer direct or connecting service to 46 other destinations such as Boston, Washington, DC, and Orlando.
In celebration of the new San Francisco service, Southwest customers may find 21-day advance fares as low as $39 one-way to San Diego; $59 one-way to Las Vegas; and $99 one-way to Chicago Midway, from all three Bay Area airports (SFO, Oakland, and San Jose), for travel August 26 through October 31, 2007.
