San Mateo County Fair

Enjoy some good old-fashioned county fair fun with rides, exhibits, concerts, food, and much more at the 74th annual San Mateo County Fair!

Feel like a kid again in the fair's carnival area, and enjoy classic rides like the carousel, ferris wheel, bumper cars, and tilt-a-whirl. Or, if you're craving more of an adrenaline jolt, the fair has a full-scale roller coaster, a Rockin' Rapids flume ride, a chamber of terrors, and more to get your heart pumping.

Check out the entries for the numerous competitions at exhibits throughout the grounds, ranging from traditional agriculture and livestock to culinary and home arts. Watch as chefs go head-to-head at the chili and chowder cook-offs, or cheer for your favorite home-made, remote-controlled robot in the Robo Games combat matches.

Nightly concerts at the fair feature retro favorites including KC and The Sunshine Band, The Village People, Tower of Power, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Lucha Libre stars of World Power Wrestling. Daytime shows include the Chinese Acrobats of Heibei, Blues and Brews with Shane Dwight, pig races, hypnotist Steve Bayner, and much more.

On August 17, the fair comes to a close with Dia de La Feria Preciosa, a celebration of Latino influence, music, and entertainment with special events, exhibitors, and food throughout the grounds.
