Quote from Moon Travel GuidesThe Redwood National Park Hostel welcomes groups of all types, and offers both overnight accommodations and meeting/event space for retreats, reunions, and other special events. The hostel is also a popular destination for school and youth groups.

Housed in an historic pioneer homestead in a National Park setting, the Redwood Hostel is a unique and affordable option for your next group excursion.


Group accommodations

The hostel provides both shared and private rooms in the historic 1908 DeMartin home, just steps from the Pacific Ocean.

Groups of up to 30 people can be accommodated overnight.

Meeting and event space

The hostel has a cozy lounge and a dining room that can both be used for meetings, workshops, or special events. For outdoor events, groups can take advantage of the sundecks with ocean views.

Maximum capacity for an indoor/outdoor function is 45.

Group dining

Groups may choose to bring groceries to prepare themselves, or hire a caterer.

The hostel has a self-service kitchen and dining room for guests to prepare their own meals. The kitchen is fully equipped with two stoves and ovens, microwave, toaster, and ample refrigerator/freezer space. Pots and pans, dishes, and utensils are also provided.

Group rates

Group rates apply to groups of 10 or more.
Overnight accommodations
  • Adult groups: $21 per person
  • Youth groups (under age 18): $16 per person
Day use, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Day-use rental is available to groups not staying overnight, or to groups who wish to arrive before check-in (4 p.m.) or stay past check-out (11 a.m.).
