Hiker/Biker discounts at the Redwood and Point Reyes Hostels

Sometimes the old ways are still the best ways. Even with hybrid cars growing in popularity among drivers, there’s still no real alternative to the power of your own two feet, to get you where you’re going without leaving a significant ecological footprint. Besides, hiking and biking are both healthy and fun, and ensure you get a chance to "stop and smell the roses" along the way.
Now, two of our National Park hostels are offering ongoing discounts to hostellers traveling "under their own steam," giving you one more good reason to leave the car behind. The Redwood National Park Hostel offers a discount of $5 per night to hikers and cyclists arriving at the hostel without motorized transportation, while the Point Reyes Hostel offers a similar discount of $2 per night. Bike along coastal trails that meander through the Point Reyes National Seashore, or hike through the serene majesty of towering redwoods, all before reaching your hostel destination!
Additionally, the Point Reyes Hostel has just completed construction of a new bicycle storage shed, keeping your bike safe from the elements while you relax after a long ride. The Redwood National Park Hostel also offers bicycle storage where you can lock your wheels up tight.
