Reservations
We want you to discover the National Seashore and the Point Reyes Hostel -- not a sign telling you that the hostel is full! While we welcome walk-in guests when possible, we highly recommend making an advance reservation to guarantee a place to sleep when you arrive.

Online reservations are not available for the private room; please book by phone.

Hours
The Point Reyes Hostel is open daily year-round.
Reservation and reception hours are 7:30 - 10 a.m. and 4:30 - 9:30 p.m. The hostel is closed daily from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Guests must leave the hostel during these hours to explore the National Seashore or nearby communities.
Groups may arrange for hostel day-use for an additional fee; please see our Groups section for more information.
Check-in/Check-out
Check-in hours are 4:30 - 9:30 p.m.
Check-out hours are 7:30 - 10 a.m.
Adults must provide a valid government-issued picture identification card (passport, driver's license, or state or military ID card) to stay at the Point Reyes Hostel.
Payment
We accept cash, travelers checks, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB.
A credit card is required to make a reservation, but during the check-in process you may choose to pay for your accommodations with cash or travelers checks instead.
Cancellation policy
If you need to cancel or change your reservation, at least 48 hours advance notice is required. If a cancellation is made without 48 hours notice, or if you do not arrive on the reserved date, your credit card will be charged for one night’s accommodation per person, and any additional nights reserved will be cancelled. (For groups, a different cancellation policy applies.)
Last-minute availability
If space isn't available on your preferred dates, you can get notifications about last-minute cancellations by subscribing to our Twitter feed. This can be especially useful if you're looking to stay in the private family room, which is normally booked up far in advance.
