Sacramento Jazz Jubilee

The Sacramento Jazz Jubilee, now in its 35th year, is the "biggest and baddest" jazz festival in the Western United States. More than 100 performing groups come to Sacramento each Memorial Day Weekend to entertain over 70,000 visitors with jazz, blues, big band, swing, gospel, Gypsy, and Latin music.

Performers include headliners Kermit Ruffins and the Barbecue Swingers, "Jubilee Emperor" Big Tiny Little, Uptown Lowdown, the Bohem Ragtime Jazz Band, Mighty Aphrodite, Creole Bells, Zydeco Flames, and over 90 more musical acts.

The Jazz Jubilee boasts performances at more than 30 concert venues around Sacramento, from the trendy bars and clubs lining K Street to the cobblestones of Old Sacramento. Opening with a grand parade, the Jubliee also includes a swing dance extravaganza, Friday night parties, open jam sessions, a Bloody Mary contest, Sunday gospel services, a washboard contest, and much more!

Several free venues near the Sacramento Convention Center will showcase 16 "next generation" bands, such as the Back Alley Strutters, Dixie 9, Raisin Babies, and Muskrat Ramblers, so even if a ticket is outside your budget, you can still get into the swing of Sacramento's biggest music event.
