May 8, 2008

The Redwood National Park Hostel has been chosen as one of the two top-ranked Hostelling International hostels in the world by HIHostels.com users!
The Redwood Hostel tied with the Shin-Osaka Youth Hostel in Japan, each garnering a guest satisfaction of 93% from HIHostels.com users for the period of April 2007 through March 2008.
In addition, three other HI-USA Golden Gate Council hostels — HI-Point Montara Lighthouse, HI-Pigeon Point Lighthouse, and HI-Sacramento — all tied for sixth place worldwide with six other hostels, each with a guest satisfaction rating of 89%.
HIHostels.com users rated hostels around the world for 12 months, based on six criteria: friendliness of staff, efficiency of service, level of comfort, cleanliness, security, and location. To reduce the possibility of the results being biased, only hostels that received more than 50 customer ratings during the 12-month period were included in the competition.
